200+ Years Before The Battle
My family were great warriors leading up to me, but let's go way back to the beginning during the Greco-Persia Wars. This was my great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandpa, that's 7×. His name was Alexandros III. He fought in the Battle of Platea beside his best friend, Doros, who survived along with him. During the battle, my great ×7 grandpa was severly injured and almost died but kept fighting, to stay alive that is. The main nurse who helped him turned out to be his future wife and my great ×7 grandma. This is one of the few wars I do agree with.
Most of the time during the Greco-Persian Wars, Persia had the over powering, immense, bone-crushing army, while we (this is during the rise of the Greek city-states) had the smaller, yet more armored army. In almost all of those battles we had the better strategies, and in most of them we won defensively by what I call blocking-and-beating. This is when Persia attacked, we blocked, and then took over. In most of the battles the we used warriors we call Hoplites, heavily armored citizen-soldiers. These battles took place between 492-449 BC.
